The project is part of the CONDOR program, one of the 17 national projects selected under the 5th call for Hospital-University Research projects in Health (RHU5). This project is funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR). The program is based on a consortium that brings together three expert centers in the management of sarcomas (Institut Bergonié, Gustave Roussy, and Centre Léon Bérard) and Inserm, through its clinical research division and the Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers, as well as three French companies, each recognized for their expertise in their respective fields. These companies are leaders in their areas of activity: Domain Therapeutics, a global player in the discovery and development of anticancer therapies targeting G Protein-Coupled Receptors (GPCRs); Explicyte, an expert in multiparametric tumor and peripheral profiling for the discovery and development of biomarkers in immuno-oncology; and Owkin, a leader in digital pathology and artificial intelligence.
The analysis of data from the MULTISARC study is part of the RHU CONDOR program. Transcriptomic data will be analyzed to assess the tumor microenvironment of sarcomas by applying bioinformatics deconvolution techniques. These data will be correlated with the genomic profile obtained from exome analyses. The results will contribute to the creation of an immunological atlas of sarcomas, aiming to describe, for each histological subtype, the different components of the tumor microenvironment and their relationship with tumor cells.
The analysis of data from the MULTISARC study will therefore contribute to one of the deliverables of the RHU CONDOR, which aims to establish an immunological atlas of sarcomas.
