Presentation
Rare skin cancers (adnexal carcinomas, inoperable basal cell carcinomas and Merkel cell carcinomas) suffer, at an advanced stage, from a lack of randomised clinical trials and consensus management guidelines, as well as difficulties in accessing innovative diagnostic and therapeutic techniques.
This is why we wish to offer the genomic platform to patients with:
- unresectable or metastatic adnexal carcinomas
- unresectable or metastatic Merkel cell carcinomas following failure of a course of anti-PD-1 or anti-PD-L1 immunotherapy
- unresectable or metastatic basal cell carcinomas following failure of a Sonic Hedgehog pathway inhibitor.
Criteria before considering a discussion in MDM-FMG
- Performance status less than 2
- Estimated life expectancy greater than 3 months
- Indication for systemic treatment, i.e. unresectable or metastatic cancer
- For Merkel cell carcinomas: failure of one line of anti-PD-1 or anti-PD-L1 immunotherapy
- For basal cell carcinomas: failure of a Sonic Hedgehog pathway inhibitor
