Cancers with particularly severe family histories

Presentation

Conditions:

For constitutional analysis: at least two individuals (up to a maximum of four) affected by cancers within the suspected predisposition spectrum.
These individuals must be chosen with care according to their position within the family pedigree.
Appropriate diagnostic genetic analyses must have been performed beforehand in accordance with current standards and must have yielded negative results.

The patient must be available for a new blood sample and informed that their case will be presented at a multidisciplinary team meeting.
Relatives must be available:
- For isolated cases, ensure that both parents are available (trio analysis).
- For familial cases, ensure that affected relatives are available.

Tumours must be anatomopathologically confirmed:
- Samples from the index case and affected relatives should be available.

Appropriate routine constitutional and/or tumour genetic analyses must have been performed.
Frozen tumour material should be available (optional).
The case should preferably have been discussed in a local multidisciplinary team meeting prior to submission.
